I think this card will see a fair amount of play in more than a few decks
Dimir Midrange is also quite a grindy deck by nature, which means it will naturally accrue removal spells and interaction in the graveyard over time
You don't form a band while blocking (you can already block with multiple creatures), but as long as you block with at least one creature with banding, you choose how damage is assigned
That means we can expect Food to be one of the main mechanics of the "Throne of Eldraine" set
In the mid-game you'll transition to playing value Sagas, using them to either gain board presence or disrupt your opponents
To do that, we developed a workflow that asked concept artists and card artists to pull hallmark character designs from Yoshitaka Amanos original (and legendary) concept art, the original FFVI sprites, and the FFVI Pixel Remaster character portraits, to synthesize the most consistent elements of each characters design into something new. We also encouraged our artists to punch up finer details and explore elements where they thought they could push (fabric, patterns, textures, etc.) Then, we would meet with the Final Fantasy VI review team, and they would give us feedback on what core elements they wanted to preserve and what new elements they were excited about
